Lalitha is the main carer for her mother and elderly neighbour. She has volunteered at Parchmore Stroke Unit, since 1981, helping children and elderly clients. Lalitha has already volunteered her time, putting together a window display at the Croydon Voluntary Action shop. When she’s not helping others, she’s watching and supporting Crystal Palace FC!
"This weekend I'm baking three cakes"
Lola has been baking for over 5 years, having studied at the National Bakery School (South Bank). She previously worked as a pastry chef (Harrods) and cake decorator. Now Lola works as a support worker for a carer agency and looks after her two children, who will actually be mini bite buddies, aged 9 and 7.
"Sugar gets me through my studies"
Madeehah studies medicine, and experiments beyond the lab to the kitchen to concoct baked inventions, which are not always a success, but she perseveres nonetheless. She’ll participate as a bite buddy, documenting her journey via our blog. We’ll also set her some cooking challenges, such as cooking a savoury dish rather than her beloved sweet treats.
